Kente African Fabric – Intertwined with the history of the African nations, Kente Fabric (ken-tay) emerged in West African culture during the 17th century. The word itself refers to woven cloth in the Asante dialect which is spoken in the Akan lands in Ivory Coast, Ghana and some other parts of western Africa.
